Empiric Health Continues Growth with Addition of New VP Business Development
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SALT LAKE CITY, June 19, 2020 / — Empiric Health, a fast-growing innovator in the AI-powered clinical analytics and digital health industry with leading edge solutions to reduce unwarranted clinical variation announced that Spiro Papadopoulos has joined as Vice President of Business Development. In his role, Spiro joins the team responsible for sales and business development efforts for Empiric Health.
“Empiric is committed to improving outcomes and the affordability of surgery,” said Rick Adam, CEO of Empiric Health. “Spiro Papadopoulos’ career in healthcare at Stanson Health (now Premier Inc.), Zynx Health, Siemens and GE Healthcare has ideally positioned him to accelerate our efforts in approaching health systems with our proven solution.”
Spiro brings over 25 years of experience in sales and business development in the healthcare industry. Most recently Spiro helped lead the growth of Stanson Health from start-up to acquisition by Premier Inc. He was instrumental in driving significant revenue growth of Stanson’s enterprise-wide Clinical Decision Support (CDS) & Analytics platform. Previously, he held numerous business development roles that also focused on improving clinical outcomes and reducing the cost of healthcare.
“I am thrilled to join the Empiric team. Health systems are transitioning to value-based care and are focused on reducing costs and improving outcomes. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the impact of the surgical suite to the “health” of the health system. Empiric’s AI-powered clinical analytics, developed at Intermountain Healthcare, focuses on identifying unwarranted clinical variation in the surgical suite, improving patient outcomes and increasing the affordability of surgery.”
“The single biggest challenge has been physician engagement, specifically as it relates to sharing true apples-to-apples comparison data with physicians. At the heart of Empiric’s solution is the cohort-driven procedure data based on clinically meaningful attributes beyond typical procedure and billing codes that surgeons can trust. I am honored to be a part of this team and share their passion and enthusiasm for the space.”
